
The year 2000
brought a tremendous
opportunity for Roche Molecular Systems
to introduce their new worldwide marketing
campaign, "No Doubt." To ensure they
made the most of that opportunity at their
February 2000 international affiliates meeting,
RMS didn't hesitate before calling for
the services of Media Matrix, a full-service

called us because we came through
for them the previous year, and they knew we
could help them roll out the 'No Doubt' theme in an inventive, memorable
way," said Media Matrix President Michael Olenski. The 1999 event in Puerto
Rico had featured a spectacular space exploration theme that got the affiliates
ready for the challenges of 1999, but in 2000, the start of the new millennium,
the stakes were higher.
It
didn't take long for the meeting to get
the affiliates' attention. At the Opening Session,
a spectacular series of special effects produced
a character who was the living embodiment
of the 21st centurya "traveler from the future," played by an actor
in full costume. Stepping out to greet the audience, the Traveler, as he
called himself, explained that he had come from the year 2050 to see the
meeting that was the turning point for Roche's success in the next 50 years.
